To apply for rental, you just need to be 18 years+ of age and either an Australian citizen or permanent resident and be able to provide proof of stable income.

Applying takes about 15 minutes, a little less if you do it online and have fast fingers! To make the application process as fast as possible, you should have your I.D. documents with you before you begin, as well as documents that have information about your financial situation, for example a recent payslip or Centrelink statement.

Under the law, we must verify information about your financial situation. The simplest and safest way to do this is by using a secure 3rd party service called “creditsense”.

To use the creditsense system, you’ll need to have internet banking set up.

By law, we cannot enter into a contract with you if it could be considered “unsuitable” for you. This means that the contract must meet your needs and that you can afford it. The information you provide to us during the application will allow us to determine whether we can legally enter into a rental contract with you.

There may be other reasons why we aren’t able to approve a rental application. We do conduct a credit check, however, we do not have a strict “no bad credit history customers” policy; we assess every application on its merits. We will be open and transparent with you about how we have assessed your application.

Over the full contract term, rental is more expensive than buying. However, renting spreads the cost. You should consider your individual circumstances before applying. For example, if you have the money available in full then buying them may be a better option for you.

Once you’re approved, we will take information from you about the products you wish to rent.

We will then set up your rental contract documents and email them to you to sign electronically. Once we receive the contract back from you, we will arrange for delivery to occur.

For small items, you may be able to pick them up from a nearby retailer.

Orange Rentals is different. We offer consumer leases, which means you rent your items for a set term. At the end of your lease, you have the option to buy the item for a small nominal fee or return it – giving you similar benefits without being a traditional rent-to-own arrangement.

We don’t use rent-to-own contracts. However, we offer electronics on consumer leases with the option to buy them once your lease is complete, or return them apply for something newer!

Yes! With our consumer lease option, you can enjoy items now and pay them off in affordable fortnightly (or weekly) payments. At the end of your lease, you can choose to buy the product for a small nominal fee or return it.

Yes, we’re nationwide! Whether you’re in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Darwin, Canberra, Hobart, Geelong, Townsville, Cairns, Alice Springs, Sunshine Coast or anywhere else in Australia, we can help.

Our contracts are for a 36 or 48 month period.  You can also choose to make your payments fortnightly or weekly.

Check them to make sure they’re in new, working condition and, if you have any concerns, you should contact us straight away.

For your convenience, we have automatic payment options available, such as Direct Debit. We can discuss your payment options upon your application approval. Direct deposit & BPAY are not available payment options

Call us and let us know and we will arrange for the product to be repaired, or replaced if a repair is not possible. This is a free of charge service to you throughout the contract term.Keep in mind though, while we provide service cover for product faults and breakdowns, you are responsible for keeping the goods safe from damage and loss. If an item is lost stolen or broken, it is not covered and will not be replaced.

You have options! We’ll send you an email about 3 months before a product reaches its end of term to tell you about how you can choose to either return- or whether we are willing to sell the goods to you and if so, at what price.

While we aren’t a rent-to-own provider, we offer appliance consumer leases in every state and territory across Australia. That means you can rent appliances no matter where you are and, once your lease finishes, choose to purchase them for a nominal fee or return them.

At Orange Rentals we use consumer leases. You make affordable payments during your lease term, then at the end you can purchase the appliance for a very small nominal fee or return it.
